Whew. These days it seems like that is all the sound I have the energy to muster! I am working a ton, seeming to get a lot done, crossing things off of my ever-growing list, feeling accomplished…
And then, there’s a random day in between all of the others where I have a mini panic attack and think…”what the crap have I done? am I making ANY headway….”. The list gets bigger and bigger:) Sometimes I feel like theres not a moment more I can put into my business, and sometimes after stalking my fave photog’s I realize that I need to be doing so much more. Where’s the balance!!
Well, after reading Kelly Moore and Trista Lerit’s brain dump posts, I’ve decided that its high time for mine! So here goes…
1. I am so thankful for a little break in between weddings…and now it seems that I’m on my way to booking life shoots left and right. Praise God! every day is a day closer to my goal…
2. Ben got a B in Biochemistry….his 6 week summer course with the teacher from… well… you know where. GREAT JOB HONEY! Love you
3. My parents celebrated 31 years together last week…and thought it was a regular work and shuttle the boys around to baseball day, I know it meant a lot to them. Thanks mom and dad for being the most amazing example of love.. aren’t they CUTE?
4. I have a huge list of things I need to buy/invest in for my business. And I cannot afford ANY of them! Atleast not right now. But I feel like I cant wait anymore to get them…these things include: Kevin Kubota Action Sets, Totally Rad Actions, the 70-200mm, the ever elusive INC., pocket wizard, dynalite light stand, photoshop cs3, Lowepro computrekker backpack, my fisheye, and marketing materials (postcards, personalized thank you cards, etc…). So I continue to book and book, so that I might have the things I need. I’d really just love for someone to give me $10,000 to invest in my business, haha.
5. I am so tired of dealing with people that are crazy! thats probably all I should say about that….just try being a salon manager in PALM BEACH COUNTY. o.m.g.
6. even when we’re broke…I love that Ben and I know how important it is to do something nice together…which is why we jetted over to the Breakers the other night and had some prosecco and wine, and some crazy good espresso gelato, chef’s special. i love times like that!
7. I feel like I’ve waited SO LONG for my “dreams to come true”. I know how terribly cliched that sounds…but its true:) I feel like I should be done waiting now…and it should happen. To all my clients…you have been my dreams and fulfilled my dreams so far. KEEP em coming.
